West Central Association of Realtors was awarded a $3,000 Sustainability Grant from the National Association of Realtors.
The grant will be used for a Sustainability Summit on April 20, 2023 at the Veterans’ Memorial Civic Center in Lima. Attendees will include realtors, investors, non-profits, local businesses and elected officials including Lima Mayor Sharetta Smith as a panelist.
“Realtors are community leaders who are invested in prioritizing viability, adaptability, resiliency and resource efficiency,” said Jaylene Smith, WCAR President, through a press release. “Both grants will help raise awareness about sustainability’s value proposition for real estate. Buyers, sellers and communities benefit from sustainable offerings in the built environment — including positive health, energy efficiency, environmental and wellness impacts. Thanks to NAR’s Sustainability Grant, our market will take advantage of this new educational event.”
The Sustainability Summit will bring experts from around Ohio to share their sustainability successes, provide ideas for multiple organizations to work on the same goals and introduce sustainable technology and tools for residential and commercial properties.
